Visited Mary Jane’s Bakery & Deli on Sarjapur Road a day before Valentine’s Day and had a really pleasant experience.
It’s a small, cozy European-style café near Harlur Road with warm lighting and comfortable seating. The space works well for coffee dates, catching up with friends, or even sitting alone with a book or laptop.
What we ordered:
🍞 French Toast – Easily one of the softest French toasts I’ve had in Bangalore. Nicely balanced sweetness and very fresh.
☕ Hazelnut Coffee (Hot & Cold)
• Hot coffee – Good portion size and well-balanced flavor.
• Cold coffee – Strong, but slightly on the sweeter side. You can ask them to reduce sweetness if you prefer less sugar.
They also bake fresh breads in-house, and you can actually smell it when you enter.
Honestly, Sarjapur Road doesn’t have many cozy cafés like this earlier we had to go to HSR or Koramangala for similar vibes. This is a great addition to the area.
If you’re looking for a peaceful café near Sarjapur Road for good coffee and fresh bakes, this place is worth visiting.

Had the peri peri chicken grill sandwich, Spanish omelette, and Yule log. The omelette was very fluffy and delicious. The sandwich was flavourful, and filling. The Yule log was fudgy, not too sweet, and absolutely yum, a must try!

Mary Jane’s Bakery & Deli is one of those places that instantly makes you slow down. The moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, cozy café vibe — rustic interiors, wooden accents, soft lighting, and the comforting smell of freshly baked goods. It feels equally good for a relaxed breakfast, a quiet work session, or a long catch-up with friends.

The menu is bakery-forward, and that’s where Mary Jane’s truly shines. Their cakes, pastries, brownies, and desserts are fresh, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The cheesecakes and chocolate-based desserts are especially worth trying. On the savoury side, they have sandwiches, burgers, quiches, and deli-style plates, making it a good spot even if you’re not just there for desserts. Portion sizes are filling, and the ingredients taste high quality.

Coffee and beverages pair well with the food — whether it’s classic coffees, cold brews, or refreshing non-coffee options. Presentation is neat and consistent, without being overdone.

The service is polite and unhurried, which fits the overall vibe of the place. Staff are happy to explain menu items or suggest popular options if you’re visiting for the first time.

Pricing is slightly on the higher side, but that’s expected for an artisanal bakery using quality ingredients and offering a calm sit-down experience.

Overall, Mary Jane’s Bakery & Deli is a reliable comfort café — great food, excellent desserts, cozy ambiance, and a place you can visit again and again without getting bored. Ideal for dessert lovers, brunch plans, or just some quiet time with good food.

I went for an after-meal dessert and tried the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Red Velvet Cupcake. The cheesecake was really good and tasty — creamy, flavourful, and worth trying. The Red Velvet Cupcake was soft, but the cream on top wasn’t that great and could have been better.
Blueberry Cheesecake: 4.5/5
Red Velvet Cupcake: 3/5
Overall, a decent dessert experience!
